Waleed Akram is a Co-founder and the Director of Operations at the Hunger Relief Foundation.
Born in Pakistan and immigrating to the United States as a child, Waleed Akram witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of food shortages on communities. These early experiences shaped his understanding of the devastating impact of hunger and inspired his lifelong commitment to making a difference.
Alongside his humanitarian efforts, Waleed honed his entrepreneurial skills by leading various ventures, including his family’s business, Metro Management. His unique blend of entrepreneurial expertise and humanitarian passion continues to fuel his mission to create sustainable solutions that combat global hunger and improve lives.
Waleed holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Science with a concentration in Data Science. Waleed always had the interests of community at heart and also remembered the plight of Pakistanis and other nations facing global hunger. After his volunteer service, he knew he could put his skills to an organization with more targeted audiences globally.
